At the Santa Fe Art Institute THE ITALIAN GAZE could finally breathe the air and the colors again. Surrounded by white walls, I had to let the red and the black taking over my frames, until there was no room for anything else.
These two months have been the last time I could work on my film. They seem so far away right now....But not that Red Sea, that water that brings sorrow, anger, and blood. An ancient truth is written on the stones. It's just waiting to be revealed, as soon as I will be able to touch it again.

LO SGUARDO ITALIANO ha potuto finalmente vedere la luce e i colori durante un soggiorno al Santa Fe Art Institute. Circondato da muri bianchi, ho lasciato che il rosso e il nero prendessero piede nelle mie immagini fino a che non c'è stato spazio per nient'altro.
I due mesi trascorsi allo SFAI sono stati gli ultimi in cui ho potuto lavorare al film a tempo pieno. Ora sembrano così lontani nel tempo…Ma non certo quel Mar Rosso, quell'acqua che porta con sé dolore, rabbia e sangue… Antiche verità sono scolpite nei sassi. Aspettano solo di venire scoperte, non appena sarò in grado di rimettere le mani sul mio lavoro.
