Updates on Festivals and screenings - Gli aggiornamenti su Festival e rassegne

A few things worth a mention happened over the Summer and at the beginning of the Fall 2018, so here's the update! Lo Sguardo Italiano - The Italian Gaze was selected to be included in a special animation festival at the Aggregate Gallery in Oakland, CA. We went at the opening, and it was fun to see the film projected in a group of "narrative" films. Amazingly enough, the audience decided to give us an award for Best in Show!!! After that, the film has been an official selection of Rome Independent Cinema Festival in Italy and of Blow-Up Arthouse International Film Festival in Chicago, Illinois. Closing this parade of good news, Lo Sguardo Italiano - The Italian Gaze is part of a lovely screening put together by Eric Rittatore for the View Fest in Torino, Italy, on and around the theme of "Migrations and Memory."Quoting Rittatore: "A reflection as personal as universal on feeling exiled and split inside does habit the suggestive 'animated painting' by Sandro Del Rosario." Thank you, Eric! We are thrilled to be included in this program.



Durante la scorsa estate e l'inizio del presente autunno 2018 sono successe un po' di cose che vale la pena di raccontare, eccovi l'aggiornamento! Lo Sguardo Italiano è stato selezionato in una rassegna speciale d'animazione alla Aggregate Gallery a Oakland, in California. Noi siamo stati presenti all'inaugurazione, ed è stato interessante vedere il film proiettato insieme ad un gruppo di cortometraggi nella sezione "narrativa". Fatto straordinario, il pubblico ha deciso di premiarci come Best in Show (Miglior corto della rassegna)!!! Dopodiché, il film è stato selezionato ufficialmente dal Rome Independent Cinema Festival, a Roma, e poi dal Blow-Up Arthouse International Film Festival a Chicago, in Illinois. Chiude questa rassegna di buone notizie quella che Lo Sguardo Italiano è parte di un bellissimo programma curato da Eric Rittatore per il View Festival di Torino, sul tema "Migrazione e Memoria." Scrive Rittatore: "La riflessione tanto personale quanto universale sul ritrovarsi esuli e divisi a metà permea il suggestivo 'dipinto animato' di Sandro Del Rosario". Grazie, Eric! Siamo felicissimi di essere inclusi in questo bel programma.
